1. A Brief Introduction

We, WUZHOU P&P SPICES Co., Ltd. are one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of spices and herbs in southern China. Our main products include such spices as AD Ginger Whole and Flakes, AD Ginger Powder and Granules, Cassia Barks, Cassia sticks Scraped, Cassia Buds, Cassia Powder and Granules, Cassia Oils, Star Anise Whole, Star Anise Broken, Star Anise Powder and Granules, Star Anise Oils, and various medicinal herbs.

The annual output of our factory is 2,000MT spice powders and 3,000MT Cassia and other spices and herbs products.

2. Our Background

During the operation of the former company, the present author was invited by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to serve as on‑site interpreter for a national technical‑exchange programme.

The professional training sessions were formally held in Beihai, followed by an official field inspection at the former company’s spice production base, as documented in the group photo below.

Two Israeli agricultural specialists dispatched under FAO‑related technical‑cooperation frameworks participated in the training and site evaluation. Highly satisfied with the on‑site professional interpretation performance, the foreign specialists proposed a FAO‑supported technical‑assistance programme targeting agricultural and spice‑industry upgrading.

Due to sudden regional turbulence in Israel during the final preparation stage, the planned technical‑assistance project was fully suspended and never implemented.

Nevertheless, systematic professional experience accumulated through this high‑level official exchange has profoundly shaped the present company’s current strict standards for raw‑material traceability and hazardous‑substance control in spice‑export operations.

3. Our Team

 

Our team includes QC Department, Product Department and Sales Department.

 

QC Department supervises application of pesticides in our contracted farms，monitors and controls heavy metals and other harmful substance in the products. In addition，it also controls quality of our products in other respects.

The physical and chemical analysis is carried out in our own laboratory; While analysis of pesticides residues, heavy metals and micros, in contracted certified 3rd party laboratory, such as Eurofins and Merieux NutriSciences.

 

4. Our Advantage

The advantage of our company lies in the traceability of goods and strict control of harmful and toxic substances.

 

All our varieties of raw materials are only sourced from audited and qualified suppliers.  We require suppliers to choose land with low heavy metals for their planting land.  And we require suppliers to use pesticides with low residues in accordance with our guidelines to ensure that our product pesticide residue limits meet EU and US standards.

 

 

 

During the course of processing, we design workshops in strict accordance with HACCP regulations, and strictly control harmful and toxic substances in each link.

5. Capacity and Lead Time

1) Capacity:

Cinnamon bark and cinnamon powder, 1000 metric tons/year.

Star anise and star anise powder, 500 metric tons/year.

Dried ginger and ginger powder: 500 metric tons/year.

Other spices and spice powders, 500 metric tons/year.

Medicinal materials: 500 metric tons/year.

 

2) Lead Time: 20 days after conclusion of contract.

6. Our Buyers

Usually manufacturers of foods, animal feeds, and botanical products from EU, USA, Japan and South Korea buy our products. In addition, distributors from many parts of the world also buy our products.

7. Recall and Exchange of Cargo Policy

This policy governs cargo recall, quality claim and product exchange services for all shipments supplied by Wuzhou P&P Spices Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “our Company”).

Note: This website and business assets have been transferred from the former entity to our new company. All historical project cases displayed previously belong solely to the former company and are no longer representative of our current operation.

 

1) Scope & Definition

This policy applies to our bulk spice, botanical and food ingredient cargo under formal sales contracts.

a. Recall: Voluntary or mandatory withdrawal of non-compliant goods from buyers or distribution chains, triggered by food safety, contamination, specification deviation or regulatory risks.

b. Exchange of Cargo: Replacement service for goods confirmed non-conforming to contract quality, purity, moisture, grading or packaging standards, excluding buyer’s subjective dissatisfaction or market demand changes.

 

2) Cargo Recall Procedure

Once we identify or receive verified evidence that goods carry food safety hazards, fail regulatory requirements or deviate from agreed specifications, we shall notify all affected buyers in writing immediately, stating batch number, production lot, risk level and recall timeline.

Buyers shall cooperate with stock segregation, quarantine and on-site verification as requested.

Based on risk assessment, we may arrange full product recall, reprocessing, destruction or compensated replacement. Related solutions shall be confirmed mutually in writing.

We maintain full traceability records for all batches, including raw material source, processing logs, inspection certificates and shipment manifests, to support efficient recall execution.

3) Eligibility for Cargo Exchange

Exchange service is available only when all the following are satisfied:

The buyer submits a formal written quality claim within 90 calendar days after cargo discharge at destination port, together with independent third-party inspection certificate, photos/videos, packing list and batch trace information.

Non-conformity is verified to originate from our production, processing or shipment side, rather than improper storage, reprocessing, mishandling, transit damage caused by freight carrier, or local customs treatment after arrival.

The remaining goods are kept intact, segregated and identifiable with original batch marking and packaging.

❗ Exclusions (No exchange or recall liability for):

Goods altered, blended, repacked or further processed by buyer

Normal natural sensory variance that falls within industry tolerance range agreed in contract

Market price fluctuation or buyer’s order/customer plan changes

Force majeure events including natural disaster, war, port congestion and quarantine restriction

4) Exchange Execution

After joint confirmation of non-compliance:

Option A: We supply replacement cargo of identical specification, quality and grade, and coordinate shipment schedule.

Option B: Mutual negotiation on financial compensation instead of physical exchange, if agreed by both parties.

Cost allocation shall follow the signed sales contract: liability party bears related inspection, freight, handling and warehousing charges.

 

5) General Principle

We prioritise food safety and contract integrity. All recall and exchange arrangements shall follow the signed sales agreement, international food trade norms and applicable import/export regulatory requirements of the destination country.
