High Quality Safflowers with Low Heavy Metals and Pesticide Residues

Safflower is a plant. The flower and oil from the seeds are used as medicine.

Safflower seed oil is used for high cholesterol, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, to prevent scarring, and for many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

In foods, safflower seed oil is used as a cooking oil.

The source of our Safflower is from audited supplier from Yunnan Province, one of the leading growing areas of Safflower in China.  We buy Safflower from our audited suppliers who grow the Safflower plants in the fields far away from industrial areas with low heavy metals, managing the application of pesticides as per our supervision so that there is no pollution of pesticide residues in the Safflower

The harvest season of Safflower is in Sept.-Nov.   With Safflowers got in, they are placed on bamboo basket or bamboo mattress in a cool dry ventilated place, where the flowers will be well dried naturally. During the course of drying, the flowers should be often stirred. If the flowers are harvested in rainy days, however,  they should be dried in an oven with the temperature about 40 to 60℃.

Anyway, Safflowers should not be exposed to strong sunshine or placed in a high temperature oven.  Otherwise, the red color will be spoiled.

During the processing, strong magnets and metal detectors are applied to avoid pollution of iron and other metals.  Finally workers have the Safflowers packed in PP bags of 20kg net each. 

The annual sale of Safflowers of our company is about 50 tons.
Our Dried Safflowers are mainly used as herbal medicines. It can also be used as raw materials for food ingredients.
